Contact & corrections
One address handles everything editorial:hello@toolproofs.com. It is read by theToolProofs Test Lab editorial lead — the same byline that appears on every page — not by a support queue.
Reporting an error
Send the page URL and the sentence you believe is wrong. If you can, add the source that contradicts it (the vendor's own pricing or docs page, a dated capture, a changelog entry). Three things make a report fast to act on:
- the exact URL — every page carries its own evidence index, so the URL is enough to locate the claim;
- the figure or statement as it appears now;
- what it should say, with a link.
Every page that quotes a price carries the date we last checked it. If the vendor changed a number after that date, that is not a correction we invented — it still gets fixed: the page, the price table and the check date are updated together.
What happens after you send one
- We re-read the claim against the vendor's live page and against the capture stored in that page's evidence index.
- If the claim is wrong, the live page is fixed and a dated correction block is added to that page — we do not silently rewrite history (see methodology).
- Correction reports are answered within a few days; when the fix is material we credit the reporter on the page.
Evidence requests
Screenshots, exported files and the pre-registered test log behind a hands-on page can be requested at the same address — name the page and the claim. Those logs are kept on this site as plain text and are deliberately not listed publicly, so ask rather than crawl.
What this address is not for
- Vendor pitches and paid placements. No tool can buy a score, a verdict or a table position.
- Account support. We test on free plans and administer no vendor accounts for anyone else.
- Requests to remove a documented finding. A finding with evidence behind it stays; a factual error is fixed once it is confirmed.
Both kinds of disagreement are useful: a terms-level one (a price we read, a limit we quoted) and a hands-on one (a flow we described). Say which page and which sentence, and we will re-run that check.
