The short version
We re-read Carrd’s own homepage on 2026-10-27 to anchor the baseline, then matched it against alternatives whose pricing we have already verified live on this site. Carrd is genuinely cheap and genuinely single-purpose: free for up to three one-page sites, Pro from $19/year (7-day trial, cards/PayPal). If that model is what you want, nothing on this list beats the price. If Carrd’s limits are what you are escaping, here is the realistic ladder — every price below is from that product’s own pricing page, on the check date shown.
Where Carrd sits (its own words, 2026-10-27)
The homepage is explicit about the model:
- Free: “Build up to three sites per account and use all of Carrd’s core features — for free!” No time limit, no card — three sites is the ceiling.
- Pro: “Go Pro from just $19 / year (yup, per year)”. Pro unlocks custom domains (SSL via Let’s Encrypt), more than three sites, forms (Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign, EmailOctopus, custom, payment-enabled), custom code widgets/embeds (Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad, Typeform…), analytics (GA, Plausible, Matomo), and removes the “Made with Carrd” branding.
- Trial: “Try it free for 7 days. PayPal and all major credit and debit cards accepted.”
- For the full Pro plan ladder (Pro Lite / Standard / Plus tiers by site count), see our Carrd pricing check, re-verified zero-drift on 2026-09-21.
The three realistic alternatives
1. Framer — when you outgrow one-page sites
Framer is the closest “build it visually” competitor and we have already compared the two in Framer vs Carrd (pricing captured 2026-09-24). The pricing delta, from Framer’s own page:
| Carrd (2026-10-27) | Framer (2026-09-24) | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 3 sites, one-page only | Free plan exists (1 site, framer.app subdomain) |
| Paid entry | Pro from $19/yr | Basic $10/site/mo billed yearly ($30 monthly) |
| Mid tier | Pro Standard $19/yr (see pricing check) | Pro $30/site/mo billed yearly ($70 monthly) |
| Billing | Annual only | Monthly or yearly |
Choose Framer when you need multi-page sites, animations, or a CMS-style editor; choose Carrd when a polished single page at $19/yr is the whole job.
2. Tally — when the forms are the point
Carrd’s Pro forms are part of a $19/yr bundle. If forms are 90% of what you need, Tally’s pricing (captured live on this site 2026-10-25 for our Jotform pricing check) is hard to beat: Free unlimited forms and submissions under fair use, Pro $24/mo billed yearly ($29 monthly). Unlike Carrd, Tally is not a site builder — pair it with a free Carrd page or embed it anywhere. The two actually complement each other well for a landing page + form combo.
3. Google Sites — when free + familiar wins
Google Sites remains free (no paid tier, checked 2026-10-27 via the product page). It trades Carrd’s one-page polish and custom domain control for unlimited free pages inside Google Workspace. For internal pages, documentation hubs, or any site where “free” outweighs design control, Google Sites is the zero-cost swap. It does not support Carrd-style custom code widgets on every page.
4. (Stretch) Notion Sites / simple alternatives
We do not re-list every “Carrd alternative” roundup claim here — this site only recommends tools whose pricing we have verified on their own pages. That filter excludes most listicle candidates; the three above are the ones we have hard evidence for.
When NOT to switch
- You only need one landing page and a form. Carrd Free (3 sites) plus a free Tally form covers this at $0 — no switch needed.
- You value annual-only simplicity. Carrd’s $19/yr entry is an order of magnitude below Framer’s $120/yr Basic (yearly state) and Tally’s $288/yr. If the budget floor matters more than feature ceiling, stay.
- You need a custom domain on a single page. Carrd Pro’s $19/yr includes SSL custom domains; Framer Basic costs 6x more for the same one-site need (albeit with far more editing power).
What we did not verify
- No Carrd account was created and no payment made — the homepage capture is the anchor; the full ladder comes from our earlier Carrd pricing check (2026-09-21, zero-drift re-capture).
- Framer figures are quoted from our Framer vs Carrd check (2026-09-24), not re-fetched today; re-check before large commitments.
- Google Sites has no pricing page to capture — its “free” status is stated on the product page and is unchanged in the capture window.
Verdict (terms-level, no score)
Carrd is the cheapest one-page option we have indexed and the free tier (3 sites, core features) is generous for its niche. The realistic reasons to switch are structural, not price: multi-page needs (Framer), form-centric needs (Tally), or free-at-any-scale needs (Google Sites). Prices all come from the vendors’ own pages on the dates shown — no roundup numbers were used.
