The short version
Close sells four per-user plans — Solo, Essentials, Growth and Scale — and prints both billing states on the page. Captured live on 2026-10-08 (USD, en-US session):
| Tier | Annual (per user/mo) | Monthly (per user/mo) | Discount if you pay annually |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $9 | $19 | 52.6% |
| Essentials | $35 | $49 | 28.6% |
| Growth | $99 | $109 | 9.2% |
| Scale | $139 | $149 | 6.7% |
Two things the banner hides. First, the page’s own badge reads “SAVE UP TO 50%” while the Solo tier actually saves 52.6% by our division ($10 off $19) — the banner understates its best case — and the discount collapses to single digits as you move up ($99 vs $109, $139 vs $149). Second, the seat price is not the whole bill: call recording/transcription (Call Assistant) is a $50/mo per-organization add-on plus $0.02 per minute, extra organizations cost $50/mo each, and the page states calling/SMS are “passed through at cost.”
This is a terms-level pricing check of close.com/pricing. We did not create or run a workspace in this pass; everything below is what the live page prints, verified against two independent fetches (a scripted browser session and a separate cloud fetch) on 2026-10-08.
Provenance: three reads of the same page, one open gap closed
This page consolidates our three earlier Close passes (2026-09-06, 2026-09-10 and 2026-09-19, previously published as a separate terms review at /saas/close-review/, merged here on 2026-10-20) with the 2026-10-08 capture above. Two things from those passes are worth keeping on record:
- The line-up was renamed between passes. On 2026-09-10 the four tiers were still called Team, Organization and Enterprise (annual figures only); by 2026-09-19 they had become Solo, Essentials, Growth and Scale, which is what the page prints today.
- The monthly figures used to be an open gap. On 2026-09-19 the $19/$49/$109/$149 monthly
prices were read from the page source but not screenshot-verified, because the custom billing
toggle would not flip under a headless browser. That gap is now closed: the toggle is driven
by a single attribute on the page root (
data-billing, switching betweenannuallyandmonthly), and clicking the real control flipped the rendered cards — in the monthly state only $19 / $49 / $109 / $149 remain visible and the annually figures disappear from the page text. The screenshot above (clp-01-02) is that monthly state. No number changed.
One more framing note from the 09-19 pass: Close leads its marketing with the AI agent “Chloe” (“your AI sales teammate is included in your Close plan”) — the 2026-09-19 page was the first to print the per-seat credit allowance (500 / 1,000 / 1,500 / 2,000) right on the grid, and the 10-08 capture confirms it.
The discount math, tier by tier
All four rows below are our own division of the page’s printed pair (annual price vs monthly price, same page, same session), not a vendor claim:
- Solo — 52.6% off annually. $19 → $9 is a $10 saving on $19. This is the only tier that exceeds the “SAVE UP TO 50%” banner, so the banner is not literally correct about its own best case (it caps at 50% what the page itself proves is 52.6%).
- Essentials — 28.6%. $14 saved on $49.
- Growth — 9.2%. $10 saved on $109.
- Scale — 6.7%. $10 saved on $149.
Read as a ladder, the annual discount is a solo-founder concession: the page’s “up to” is earned almost entirely by the cheapest tier. A 10-seat team on Growth pays $990/mo annually vs $1,090/mo monthly — 9.2%, not a headline number. Anyone comparing quotes should recompute per tier instead of applying “50%” to their budget.
What the seat does not include
The tier cards bundle AI credits per seat (500 / 1,000 / 1,500 / 2,000 per user/month across Solo → Scale, refreshing monthly with no rollover; Essentials and above pool them org-wide up to 10,000–20,000). Beyond that, the page’s Add-ons section — which renders only after opening the add-on tab, which is why many Write-ups of Close pricing miss it — carries:
- Call Assistant (record, summarize and transcribe calls synced to Close): $50 per month, per organization, plus $0.02 per minute of usage — printed verbatim in the card as “$50 / mo + $0.02 / min” for all four tiers.
- Additional organizations: $50 per org per month; the page notes Growth and Scale customers receive one free secondary org.
- Usage pass-through: “Calling and SMS usage is passed through at cost. Most outbound calls are around $0.02/minute; phone numbers start at about $1/month.”
So a sales team that lives on phone will pay seat price + a per-minute bill + (if it uses recording/AI summaries) the $50/mo add-on — none of which is folded into the $9–$139 numbers the tier cards lead with. Close’s per-minute costs are pass-through at roughly $0.02/min, which is modest; the structural point is that the quote has three parts, not one.
Guarantee and trial terms as printed
- Trial: 14 days, “No credit card required” (repeated at the signup CTA: “Setup in minutes • No credit card required”).
- Refunds: the page prints a “30-day money-back guarantee — Get a full refund, no questions asked” block, and the FAQ answers “Yes. Close offers a 30-day money-back guarantee after purchase. You can also upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time.” We flagged this because most third-party Close pricing summaries only mention the 14-day trial.
Limits the cards do print
- Solo is hard-capped at 1 user and 10k leads, with workflows excluded — it is a solo
product, not a cheap team plan (card bullets, captured in
clp-03-01). - Essentials removes the lead cap (“Unlimited contacts & leads”) but still excludes workflows.
- Growth is the first tier with automated workflows, the power dialer and bulk email, and is marked “MOST POPULAR” on the page.
- Scale adds role-based permissions, lead visibility rules, the predictive dialer, unlimited call-recording retention and live call coaching.
Where our read stops
- Comparison-matrix cell alignment. The plan-comparison matrix lower on the page prints per-tier numbers in a linear column order that our two fetches could not attribute to tiers with certainty (e.g. custom-field counts, custom-activity instances). We therefore do not quote those rows; only the card-level numbers above are asserted, each one repeated verbatim on the card or in a section heading.
- Third-party figures (“4.7 on G2, 2,000+ reviews”, “11,500+ teams”) are Close’s own marketing claims reproduced from the page, not our measurements.
- No workspace was run in this pass. Behavior inside the product — how credits deplete per call, what “at cost” invoices actually look like — is not verified. If you need that, the 14-day no-card trial is the honest way to get it.
- Prices move; treat everything above as verified 2026-10-08 and re-check the live page before buying.
Who each tier is positioned for (as printed)
- Solo — founders / solo reps who need a real CRM (hard-capped at 1 user, 10k leads)
- Essentials — pipelines and team visibility for 2–3-person teams
- Growth — marked “MOST POPULAR”; AI and automation for scaling teams
- Scale — predictive dialing and advanced controls for high-volume teams
