How Much Does Tally Cost in 2026? The Real Number Is $0 (or $290/Year)
Form Builders · Updated 8/30/2026
Tally’s exact cost, checked 2026-08-30
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Unlimited forms & submissions, payments, file uploads, conditional logic, webhooks, integrations |
| Pro | $29/mo → $348/yr | $290/yr (page shows “$24/mo”, save 17%) | + branding removal, custom domain, team workspaces, partial submissions |
| Business | $89/mo | $890/yr per page data | Compliance extras (email verification, data retention) per Tally’s official plans help page |
We toggled the monthly/yearly switch on the live page ourselves — the $24 figure is the yearly view (the page charges $290/yr, i.e. about $24.17/mo, not 24 × 12 = 288 dollars), the $29 figure is the monthly view, both from the same 2026-08-30 capture of tally.so/pricing, re-checked 2026-08-31. If a review quotes Tally Pro at “29 dollars/mo” without saying monthly billing, it is either stale or lazy: the yearly rate displays as $24 on the page we captured.
The break-even math
Pro costs $58/yr more on monthly billing ($348 vs $290). At the yearly rate, Pro is roughly $0.80/day — less than a coffee — but only if you actually use one of its four features:
- Remove “Made with Tally” badge — every free form ships with this attribution link on the submission screen (we saw it in our own tested publish flow).
- Custom domain — forms on
you.com/formsinstead oftally.so/r/xxxxx. - Team workspaces — invite members (free plan is solo; publishing needs your own Google/Apple account).
- Partial submissions — capture abandoned-but-partial responses.
None apply → the honest cost answer is $0, not “they have a free tier.”
Where Tally can still cost you
- The real currency is the badge and the domain. Agencies and course creators ship branded forms; that’s the $290 line item.
- Payments: collecting money is on the free plan — payment-processor fees (Stripe) still apply to any tool, Tally included; Tally itself adds no stated surcharge on the page we captured.
- Unlimited has an asterisk: “as long as you stay within our fair usage guidelines” — the policy publishes soft trigger examples (around 50,000 submissions/month sustained for 3-4 months, or 100 GB/month file transfer; captured 2026-08-31) rather than hard caps, and our single-form test didn’t approach them.
Cheaper than what
Versus Typeform (free plan capped at 10 responses/mo per its official overview; lowest paid tier Basic at 28 USD/mo) and Jotform (free but capped at 5 forms / 100 monthly submissions), Tally’s $0-with-everything is the outlier on the alternatives page.
