The short version

Checked against the live Zapier pricing page on 2026-10-26 (proxied browser session, USD, yearly state). Two facts worth knowing before you budget for Zapier AI:

  • There is no separate “AI credits” balance anymore. Zapier’s pricing page says it plainly: “AI steps, code, and SDK now all follow the same task-based pricing model.” An AI step inside a Zap consumes the same monthly task quota as a regular step — so your AI usage ceiling is whatever your plan’s task limit is.
  • AI chatbot products are a separate add-on with per-bot pricing. The Chatbots section sells chatbot count and knowledge sources, not credits: Free (2 bots), Pro ($160/yr), Advanced ($800/yr), Custom (contact sales).

What the page actually shows (2026-10-26)

Core plans — AI steps live inside your task limit

Plan Price (yearly state) Task limit (page’s own wording)
Free $0 100 tasks per month
Professional from $19.99/mo Unlimited Zaps, multi-step; task cap shown beside the billing toggle
Team from $69/mo Multi-user plans with shared automations; task cap per tier
Enterprise contact for pricing Custom annual task quota

The page banner (visible in the evidence capture) is the authoritative line on AI pricing: AI steps, code and SDK all bill against the same task-based model.

Chatbots add-on — priced per bot, not per credit

Tier Price Bots & limits (page text)
Chatbots Free $0 2 chatbots, custom directives, public link
Chatbots Pro $160 billed annually ($13.33/mo) 5 chatbots, 10 custom knowledge sources each, lead capture, embed
Chatbots Advanced $800 billed annually ($66.67/mo) 20 chatbots, 20 knowledge sources each, Zapier logo removed
Chatbots Custom Contact for pricing More than 20 chatbots

What this means for your budget

  • If you use AI steps in Zaps, plan against your task quota, not a “credit” number — an AI-heavy Zap burns tasks faster than a plain one.
  • If you need chatbots for customers, the add-on is a flat per-bot price with yearly-only billing on the page we captured. There is no pay-as-you-go credit meter on the Chatbots side.
  • The old idea of a standalone “Zapier AI credit pool” does not match the 2026 pricing page — treat task-based billing as the model to plan around.
